Gregg Thomas

Gregg ThomasFor the past 15 years Gregg Thomas has dedicated his life to the pursuit of educating the public on musky fishing. As a full time guide he starts his season in the southern waters of Cave Run and Green River Lakes in Kentucky. As the season progresses he moves to central Minnesota and fishes the Mille Lacs area. As a writer he has been published in several national publications such as Musky Hunter Magazine, Midwest Outdoors and Fishing Facts. He is also a seminar speaker that has spoke at several Muskies Inc. Chapter meetings, Sport Shows and Sports Store events. The final media outlet that Gregg has become involved in is Television and Video. He has appeared on Keyes Outdoors, Musky Hunter Television, Badfish Videos and in 2006 he releasing his own video Gregg Thomas’ “Blueprints to Musky Success: Vol. I Weed Fishing.” Lastly are Gregg’s tournament accomplishments. Having fished a majority of the Professional Musky Tournament Trails events Gregg has became a very accomplished angler, winning the “Top Gun” Award twice in 1999 and 2006. He also won two tournaments including the PMTT World Championship in 1999 and has over a dozen top ten finishes. Gregg enjoys his job and loves teaching people about musky fishing. Tony Grant

Tony GrantTony Grant has been chasing muskies for nearly 20 years. As his career started on Kentucky’s Cave Run Lake he has now expanded his guiding to the waters of Wisconsin and Minnesota during the southern muskies dangerously hot summer water temps. He spends nearly 250 days on the water and gives dozens of enlightening seminars each year. Tony is a 8 time PMTT Ranger Boats Championship qualifier; he has numerous top ten finishes and the 2002 Mercury Marine Eagle River Championship to his credit while being a tour competitor since the trails existence in 1999. Tony has been seen on Mike Keyes Outdoors and Bad Fish videos. He as had numerous educational articles published in Mid West Outdoors, The Outdoor Notebook, Southern Sporting Journal and is a contributing writer for Musky Hunter Magazine. In 2006 Tony teamed up with Gregg Thomas to form Musky Road Rules, a series of “Cabin Fever Clinics” and “On the Water Workshops” across the mid west muskie range. Mountain Muskie Lodge is Tony’s home base where he plays host to hundreds of fisherman searching for a Kentucky musky each spring and fall. Brad Hoppe

Brad HoppeIn the past 8 years Brad Hoppe has been involved in the sport of muskie fishing. He runs Musky Mayhem Guide Service and also owns Musky Mayhem Tackle LLC. Brad writes articles for Muskie Hunter Magazine and does several seminars each year. In the season of 05 he filmed with Badfish Outdoors and most recently in 06 filmed with Keyes Outdoors. Brad will also appear in the upcoming videos Gregg Thomas is completing. During the off season Brad spends his time at numerous sports shows as well as ice fishing. Mike Hulbert

Mike HulbertMike has quickly become one of the most successful musky guides in the mid-west.  During the spring and fall Mike guides in Indiana and then travels to Bemidji Minnesota during the summer months.  In 2006 his boat released over 260 muskies with a 39.5 inch average.  He is a writer for Musky Hunter magazine and has also been featured on several television shows, including the new "Musky Hunter TV" with Jim Saric.  Mike travels the around the mid-west during the winter months to various sport shows giving seminars and teaching as many people as possible about his amazing Indiana muskies.  To find out more about Mike, check out his website

Chad Cain

Chad CainChad has over 10 years working and fishing in the muskie industry.  He owns and operates Chad Cain Muskie Guide Service which released over 400 Muskies in 2006 fishing in Illinois and Minnesota.  In 1996, Chad graduated from Southern Illinois University with a bachelors degree in Fisheries Biology  He writes for Musky Hunter Magazine, has appeared on Outdoor Notebook TV, filmed with Badfish Video, and recently filmed a 2007 Musky Hunter TV show.  He is an avid seminar speaker, outdoor writer, and conservationist. Luke Ronnestrand

Luke RonnestrandLuke has an impressive record. Luke has been musky fishing for the past 10 years. He is co owner in Holcombe Tackle which is the makers of “Musky Buster Lures.” He produces a full line of topwaters, bucktails and jerkbaits that have produced many trophy catches. He is an avid fisherman who has fished a number of waters in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Canada. He has guided clients to a multitude of fish over 50”. As a tournament fisherman his accomplishments include winning the 2006 Minnesota Musky Trail Championship on Minnetonka, and a second place in the 2004 Simply Fishing Classic on Lake Vermillion. Paul Hartman

Paul HartmanPaul Hartman is an avid outdoorsman who has lived in Minnesota all his life. His interest in fishing started at age five and has since brought him to some of the Midwest's and Ontario's best fisheries. Paul's primary pursuit is for the muskie, as displayed by his lifelong commitment to the sport and to the welfare of the muskie fishery itself. In addition, he spends plenty of time chasing after salmon, trout, catfish, panfish, and, of course, walleye and bass.

In the 1990s, Paul had started the Metro Muskie Company. Under this name, he began manufacturing muskie spinner baits and bucktails and guiding for muskies on Twin Cities area lakes, Mille Lacs, and in the Grand Rapids area. Paul is the founder/director of the Minnesota Muskie Tournament Trail, consisting of five tournaments throughout the state of Minnesota.  He has promoted Minnesota's muskie fishing in frequent seminars, articles, and television appearances. His connection to the manufacturing industry continued to deepen as he worked sports shows and other promotions for Abu Garcia, Browning, St. Croix Rods, Lamiglas Rods, Yarcraft, Ranger, Tuffy, and Mercury Motors. 

 

Scott Salchli

Scott 45Scott has been fishing the eastern Kentucky waters since he could walk his wisdom of Cave Run Lake and other local river systems are second to none. His knowledge of chasing muskies in milfoil may just be the best there is. Scott has also has taken his talents to the tournament level and is seen many times in the PMTT’s top ten. His moat resent accomplishments include a 2007 First Place finish at Madison WI as well as taking 4 Place in the Ranger Boats World Championship on Cave Run Lake. Youth education is a personal project of his and annually works with the Dept of Fish and Wildlife with kids outings in addition to the many informative seminars he gives each year

Tanner Wildes

Tanner WildesTanner Wildes is a full time fishing guide on the Hayward Wisconsin area lakes, including the Chippewa Flowage.  He has been fishing these lakes since he was a child, and has been guiding on them since he was 18 years old.  He is a contributing writter for Esox angler magazine and also owns his own tackle Company, Tanner Wildes Tackle company, manufacturers of the Rabid Squirrel Bucktial and Creepenstien topwater baits.

Ty Sennett

Ty Sennett has been guiding on the Chippewa Flowage for almost 20 years.  The largest number of muskies caught and released on the Chip each year are out of Ty’s boat.  In 2001 he started his own topwater lure company called Sennett Tackle Company.  Ty is also a writer for several publications including Musky Hunter Magazine.  

 

 

 

 

Jim Murphy

Jim MurphyI have been chasing muskies for 35 years, boy I am getting old.  I 
have over 30 years experience on Leech Lake and the area lakes.

I guided for 12 years part time while still working for the City of 
Minneapolis.  I retired in 1998 and began guiding full time.  I have 
been a life long member of Muskies Inc.  I live on Leech Lake during 
the summer months and live in the Twin Cities area in the winter.  I 
work part time at Thorne Bros in the winter. So when I am not chasing 
muskies, I am talk'n muskies.
